Continuing in my 2011 resolution to donate to a different charity each month of the year, this February I have selected Autism Speaks.

I had heard of Autism Speaks before because of Comedy Central’s Night of Too Many Stars.  A co-worker and friend of mine has a young son who is diagnosed with Autism and I knew I wanted to donate to a charity she felt strongly about.  So as we walked to the train one night after work I asked which charity she felt strongest for and she said Autism Speaks is an excellent charity.  Autism Speaks works to to fund research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism, as well as educating and advocating for the cause.  It’s a worthwhile cause to donate to so if you’d also like to donate, click on the logo below.  Plus it is my friend Jess’ birthday and I’m sure she’d love to see those donate to a cause so close to her heart.
